Florida Baccarat Inclusion Stalled
Bill McCollum is not eager for the Seminole Tribe in Florida to offer popular games like Vegas style slots and the popular casino game baccarat, in fact as Florida's Attorney General he's suing the federal government in effort to cease expansion. McCollum says the compact agreement between the tribe and the states governor, Charlie Crist should not be approved by the US Interior department, which is looking into the case currently, until after it is decided whether or not the state supreme court needs to approve it. According to reports McCollum claims he is suing to assist the tribe in avoiding the expense and trouble of installing the casino type games, only to later learn that Crist acting as governor of the state did not have the legal authority to authorize them and have to uninstall them.
The Interior Department is expected to come to a decision by the 29th of this month. The state supreme court will hold arguments on the 30th of next month.
