Chinese Businessman Loses $3 million in one night
Most people love a night at the casino playing their favorite card game or hitting the slot machines. For most people it is the thrill of hoping they will win or just for fun but for some people, gambling is serious business where some serious cash flow is wagered on a single card. It’s a big gamble that sometimes pays off and sometimes does not. For one Chinese businessman on a trip to Australia it was a bad night. The man, who remains anonymous, lost $3 million during a night out at Melbourne’s Crown Casino. The man lost $300,000 in just less than five minutes while playing big stakes baccarat at the casino. $300,000 is an extremely large amount to lose in that short of a time period.
Other players in the VIP Mahogany Room saw the man placing $100,000 a hand while gambling. The man lost so much money that it is most likely one of the biggest paydays that Crown has received in the Mahogany Room ever.
An elite group of about one hundred extremely rich bettors from Asia, called “Whales” visit the Crown casino and most that are willing to bet more than $100,000 on one wager play in the private salons that are located on the upper floors of the Crown Towers Hotel.
Many of us have had bad nights at the casino where one might lose a couple thousand or maybe ten thousand but three million is a very large amount to lose in one night. I wonder how long it will be before the man is back to gambling at the Crown or any other casino for that matter.
