Baccarat Player Sues Australian Casino for Losses
Harry Kakavas, a Baccarat player in Australia is suing John Williams of Crown Casino located in Melbourne Australia for AUS$30 Million, all the money he has spent playing Baccarat on their tables over a 14 month span. Kakavas, a property manager and admitted problem gambler claims he asked the casino for a voluntary ban in 1994, in further claims, the Baccarat player says the casino not only allowed him inside, they lured him in, providing him with incentives, cash gifts, jet rides, and a loss return deal!
In his lawsuit Kakavas says that management from Crown Casino learned he was traveling to Las Vegas to gamble, hearing that he was gambling again, the casino provided him with 30 free flights to their location as well as a 20% return on all losses at the casino.
According to reports, in a 14 month period, the gambler returned to Crown Casino, and lost AUD$26 Million in an unhealthy gambling spree.
