Baccarat Gamblers $30 Million Trial Begins Against Crown Casino
Crown casino in Australia will go to court today as a result of a lawsuit filed today by property developer Harry Kakavas. Mr. Kakavas is suing the casino for $30 million stating he was allowed to gamble at the VIP tables despite the casino knowing he had banned himself from the casino floor.Along with suing the casino, Kakavas is also suing the senior Crown director John Williams as well as Rowen Craigie the global CEO. Kakavas has hired the best of the best to help with his trial and the trial is estimated to last at least one month.
Kakavas submitted papers to the court that stated he was flown on the VIP jet of the Crown casino around thirty times and was given boxes and bags of cash up to $50,000 on a regular basis. Kakavas says at the top of his gambling foray he was betting up to $300,000 at the baccarat tables in the private gaming suites.
Documents have surfaced from the casino that show Kakavas booked under Harry Kay in the complimentary rooms along with a private butler. These documents showed this occurring on a regular basis.
