We have brought you several reports of the Kangwon Land scandal which broke out in Korea. The Kangwon Land facility is the only casino allowed for residents in the area and they recently shut down to determine the factors that contributed to a scam that was associated with the casino. We have now learned even more information about this incident.

Police have now announced that the scandal was created by a group of gamblers who asked a staff worker to install a tiny camera on a card shoe at one of the baccarat tables. The two men then took the box to management and tried to claim that the casino was fixing the odds. They took video of their attempts to blackmail the casino employees.

Police have since found the cameras that were installed by the informants and a 34 year old casino worker has now been arrested for installing the cameras. The two who turned in the box were arrested as well and other gamblers have been brought in for questioning as they were believed to have been involved in the incident.

The two who created this whole mess were asking for $4.4 million from the casino since they had lost his amount while playing baccarat and other games at the casino. However, police state that if you take into account the number of visits to the casino the actual losses is probably much smaller. Police are now searching for six other people who reportedly worked with the two men on the scam.
